I’ve been drawing for as long as I can
remember. I used to buy
Thundercats comics when I was 5
years old and copy them from
beginning to end to improve
my drawing skills. As I got older I stated to lose
interest in drawing until I was around 10 years old when
I discovered the Japanese art form ‘Manga’. My first
Manga artist influence was Masamune Shirow (Ghost
in the Shell, Apple Seed, Dominion Tank Police).
I was obsessed with the style from the day I first saw
it. Since then I have studied this Artform for many
years watching and reading Manga and Anime until I
developed my own style.
I went to Art College in my home town in
Somerset, England when I was 16 in 1998 and
completed the course in 2000 with a distinction. From
then I went straight to University in London to Study 2D
and 3D graphics with animation. I hated the animation
side but really enjoyed digital art. I completed the
course in 2003 with a 1st B.A Hons Degree.
Since then I have been increasing my portfolio and
developing my style to what it is today. I have been
trying to achieve a unique style that involves modern
graffiti graphics with my own version of Japanese Pinup
Anime.
